For over 15 years, i've two key guiding principles for progressing in life. Today, after much consideration, i've decided to add another key principle. It's Wisdom.
So, now i've three principles of life - Focus, Passion & Wisdom.
ps. will share more in the future..

focus & passion
more than 10 years ago i figure that focus & passion are the two most important elements in whatever i gonna do.. it's easy to remember too.. But i had to test them.
So, 10 years on, and on many occasions, forgotten abt it.. quite ashamedly.. i realised it had stand the test of time! ;-)
And of late, even my new big big boss emphasized on the word Focus! That's definitely reassuring.
I am fortunate, looking back my life, i've been able to do the things i like and learned alot of my various jobs.. though i've not gotten the status i had liked.. but i believe it's a blessing in disguise. Had i climbed fast too high.. i will never be able to appreciate life, people and understand humility and most importantly, Buddhism.
So, focus & passion will be my companion for another ten years! ;-)

blame & flames
recently, i read something about blaming.. many of us blame our parents, childhood, teachers or friends for our misfortune, unfortunate past, mis-opportunities or current poor state of affairs. Well, it's often true to a certain extend. When we were young, we are dependent on the adults for guidance. but adults themselves have a past too. and their knowledge of what's best for u may be limited. so even though they may have tried their best to guide u, it is usually not the best options. So we end up blaming them for the screw up in our life!
U can blame all u want but it's not going to help u move forward and lead a happy life. When u reach the age of over 20 years old and started work having your own income, it's time to stop blaming! It's time that u begin to take full responsibility for your own life! no more excuses. no more blaming. no more blaming others for your poor current state!
Usually when u start blaming people, there's anger.. there's a fire
or flame within us. That flame can burn u or save u. coz there're two types of flame. One, burn with hatred and negative energy while the other burn with passion and positive energy. I've been fortunate to convert those flame into the latter - passion and positive energy. The former will only cause u to spiral down further on the wrong path which ultimately will destroy u. The latter builds understanding and passion towards taking right actions. so, be aware of the two flames. choose only one. the latter one. the right one.blessings.

Passion, Focus & Discipline
for many years, i've adopted two key words - Passion & Focus. They are like the twin engines that drive me forward. Lately, i woke up to the fact that i needed a third engine to propel me further. That third key word is Discipline.First, we all need passion or interest in order to keep that dream alive. Then we need to stay focus and pay attention to what's needed to realise it. Finally, we need discipline to execute the plan. Perhaps, i'm getting older.. getting lazier.. i'm more discipline with my job but personal life wise, still slack.. so this year will be the year of Discipline! discipline in eating more healthily and discipline in doing more exercise! ;-)
