You will always be - song

This song is specially written for my wife Shinni on 8 March 2006. This song reflected my feelings of having her always being with me walking thru the darkest hour, the biggest storm.. and still, we will always be, together! ;-)

Lyrics:

There's no need for our history
I only cared the future you and me
Make every step we walk on today
Build on love everyone will feel the same

Bridge:
Oh i know the clouds will come and rain
And the sun wont shine all day always
But i know love will take us thru..

Chorus:
Thru the darkest hour, the longest walk
The biggest storm, and you with me
Thru the deepest sea, the tallest mountain
The sky so high, u still with me.. You will always be.

Sad Song

Every night i shed a tear or two oh no
guess you still dont know the reason why
many friends say i'm just a fool to fall
in love with a heartless girl like you

Baby why cant you realise that i'm
just the one who love you most, truthfully
please dont hurt me with the words you say
again i cant take it anymore

*Chorus:
Feels like letting you see
my love's true to you
still i hope to be there
to see you thru the day

Every picture i took with you oh no
memorise the smile that's on your face
still i pray every single night for you
to be happy as you can be

**
What is on your mind
cant you share with me
still i hope you are mine
for my love is true (it's really true)

repeat *

note: i wrote this song on 6 Dec 1996 and manage to record it only today.. it's about a good guy falling for a material girl who prefer a rich man.. sad rite?  ;-)

I Like It (music video)

It’s a warm Sunday afternoon
A lazy day
Took my guitar Grab a drink
Lay me down on my sofa
I dream on

Watch my love beside me
She’s working on
A little gift made of paper (origami)
And if you think
it’s kind of silly
To waste a good day doing nothing at all

Chorus:
I like it x 4

Got a friend who always ask me
Why don’t i
Buy Apple (Mac) Not Orange Not Pear
I guess it doesn’t matter
So long I get my job done ya..

So if he ever asks me
Ever again
What should I tell him
To get him off my back
Guess I’ll speak the truth
And how I feel about it ya..

[repeat Chorus] x2

Note: This song is meant to be naughty, crappy with an attitude, and it’s inspired by Koh Beng Liang who always asked us to buy an Apple MacBook. The song was written on 17 Feb 2007 but it took almost a year later before i found time to record & video it.. ;-)

How did it happen?
The inspiration began when Beng Liang keeps asking questions why i do this & why i do tat.. so i told him tat in most cases i've a reason for doing things.. in other cases, i just like it lor.. no particular reason. Then as we were walking he suddenly swing his file hitting my back! i asked him why he do tat for? He said "I like it!" Ha ha.. tat's how the song came to be.. ;P

know no notes but still can write songs

No words can describe my joy in seeing this article on Sunday Times! i was overjoyed! ;-)

Long time ago, i learned that Beatles's Paul McCartney cant read and write music notes and was inspired to continue my songwriting. It was encouraging especially if u live in Singapore.. the environment is not conducive and encouraging enough then..

And today, i found another guy! He's Eric Ng, a fellow Singaporean! That's really something. I do agree with him that fortunately technology lends a great deal of helping hand for folks like us.

Now, i feel even more motivated to continue my interest in songwriting! ;-)
