Be like a bee - create wealth without harming nature
Buddha taught..
Like a bee gathering nectar, a human is required to make appropriate use of nature so that the continuity of a beneficial pattern of man-nature relationship is not threatened.
Accumulate wealth in ways similar to the one adopted by a bee in collecting nectar to turn into sweet honey without harming either the fragrance or the beauty of the flower.
The Four Noble Truths
1. In life, there is suffering - whether it's mental or physical.
2. Origin of suffering stem from a fundamental ignorance of cause and effect relationship of all actions, called Karma.
3. By eliminating the cause, you can eliminate suffering.
4. There is a method to eliminate the cause. That method is Eightfold Path, a moral compass leading to a life of wisdom (right view, right intent), virtue (right speech, right conduct, right livelihood), and mental discipline (right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration).

3 F on web design
1. Flash - Watch your flash download. Too heavy flash will slow downloading.. a page that takes more than 8 seconds is considered bad..
2. Frame - Avoid using too much frames. Web search scrawlers will have problem identifying your page and thus will not registered properly on search engine and its results..
3. Fanciful graphics - Keep the users focused on your key message. Dont distract or overwhelm them with graphics. Use them sparingly and with the right intent.
note: while i learned the above from an Internet Business Consultant, i don't totally agree with them. To me, it all depends on the kind of business you are doing and the kind of image you are trying to project to your target market segments. So, take it with a pinch of salt.

4 As - Awareness, Acknowledgement, Accountability & Action
This morning, i saw a grandma pushing a baby cart dashing through the traffic light. i was angry with her for risking her life running across the road. I was more angry that a baby was under her care! Then my wife asked me to calm down and that my life will be shortened with i get angry everytime.. coz in this world there're too many letdown to be angry of..
Well, that's true.. Then i focus on developing a simple mind tool to remind myself not to end up like that grandma..
The answer is 4 As! Stands for Awareness, Acknowledgement, Accountability and Action. Let me explain.
1. Awareness. We all must first be aware of the subject matter. In the case of crossing the road recklessly, we must be aware of the danger and probability of being hit by a car. And the fact that being old, our reflects will be slower to react in the face of a speeding car.
2. Acknowledge. Being aware is insufficient. Many people are aware that smoking kills. But they just dont acknowledge that it may or will hit them one day. So one must acknowledge and admit that it, too, may happen to them. Most people dont get pass this acknowledgement stage.
3. Accountability. Having acknowledge it, you will also realise that you are accountable for your actions. And that your actions has an impact on others as well.
4. Action. The last stage will be to take action to change and eliminate or at least mitigate the risk. Talking and thinking about it is useless. Action speaks louder than words. Always start small and gradually it will take effect over a period of time. And dont give up too easily.

Sad Song
Every night i shed a tear or two oh no
guess you still dont know the reason why
many friends say i'm just a fool to fall
in love with a heartless girl like you
Baby why cant you realise that i'm
just the one who love you most, truthfully
please dont hurt me with the words you say
again i cant take it anymore
*Chorus:
Feels like letting you see
my love's true to you
still i hope to be there
to see you thru the day
Every picture i took with you oh no
memorise the smile that's on your face
still i pray every single night for you
to be happy as you can be
**
What is on your mind
cant you share with me
still i hope you are mine
for my love is true (it's really true)
repeat *
note: i wrote this song on 6 Dec 1996 and manage to record it only today.. it's about a good guy falling for a material girl who prefer a rich man.. sad rite? ;-)

Car accident - Life is fragile.. treasure life..
this is really an unforgettable life experience i will never forget.. it happened so fast and i was stunned to react..
it was around 7.30am.. i had to leave home early as i got something important to do at the office. i missed the bus on my side of road and saw an oncoming bus on the opposite side.. i thought of crossing the road to catch it.. but a spilt second thought i was tired & lazy to make the dash..
Next moment, i heard a loud bang and saw an old man on top of a car! It was still moving in a jerky manner. Fortunately the old man fell side way and the car continued to move forward. It bang right into the rear of the bus i was thinking to catch moments ago!
After a few more minutes, i start to realise what happened - The drunk car driver ramped into the old man riding bicycle and then hit the bus. Fortunately the old man was alright though a little hurt. And i learned to treasure my life and my love ones more. ;-)

going NUTS
It seems eating nuts in moderation on a daily basis is good for health. Helps reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Nuts are rich in vitamins as well as minerals.
Can be eaten as snacks or part of a main meal. Choose raw or unroasted, unsalted, and without honey or sugar coated.
However, take note of saturated fat content in the nuts.. so dont overeat them!
