Chinese New Year - giving red packets
In my early 20s I often wondered why married adults had to give red packets to kids & unmarried adults. While I'm happy to receive them and know that it's a tradition, I still wonder what I've done to deserve them.
Now that I'm older and married, I still don't quite like the fact that I had to give out red packets freely (almost) regardless if they deserve it or not. My values system prefer to give to deserving individuals..
